Being a sucker for the voice and the vocal style of jazz and blues this album comes as a surprise with a really wonderful voice of Wendolina and a great cast of musicians to support her with this recording. As a lover of music it is great to discover something that one has not heard before and that is why I enjoy the smaller independent and artist run and owned record labels. There is new world of music to discover with these labels and this album on the Sail Away Record label is a good case in point. Wendy has an enjoyable and pleasing vocal style and an easy interpretive approach to the songs she sings. The variety of songs on the album take one on an enjoyable journey of aural pleasure and is a pity when the last song in sung leaving one wanting for more.
